A proud history
1993: BlueCross was established with its first aged care residence in Toorak (BlueCross Darnlee)
1998-2000: Period of growth with the acquisition of 10 additional residences
2003: Sapphire Holdings Group bought their first aged care residence, Sheridan Hall Brighton
2006: BlueCross ventured into home care business, following a 43 per cent investment stake in Sapphire Holdings Group
2007: BlueCross acquired a new company, 3rd Age, adding six residences and Commonwealth home care packages to the business
2018: BlueCross merged with Sapphire Care, growing its total number of residences from 23 to 32
August 2019: Sapphire Care rebranded as BlueCross
